Leaf questions.
My 67' gmc short fleet (The Toad) has eight leafs in the rear, if I remove two, three or four leafs, What kind of drop can I expect? I know the ride will be terrible, but right now I want... "the look".

Re: Leaf questions.
I removed 3 on mine and got about a 2 1/2 " drop. Hard to tell, though.
Someday I'm going to have them recurved professionally or replace them with a single type spring. I found out that unless you don't intend to haul anything you don't want to convert to below the axle without notching. |

Re: Leaf questions.
actually it should ride better as when you take springs out, it requires less force to move them. i have only 6 springs in the main stack on my one ton... but have another stack of 5 as overloads..... i can say i have hit my head on the roof...x3

Re: Leaf questions.
I would just install a set of ECE drop leaf springs and shackles.
(Or just sell the truck to me. Ha)

Re: Leaf questions.
8 SPRINGS! ouch
you will loose whatever the height of the spring is x the number you remove, then maybe a little for the arch but not much on the rear.
