sneak preview

Between finishing a clients custom dually 4x4 build and building a 67 shorty from a long box, doing a frame off of a 72 Sierra Grande (still needs exterior paint) for a buddy and trying to work part time on the wifes 2WD blazer build.
I finally got a few extra moments to do a preliminary mock up on a project for myself that I have been collecting parts for the last few months and thought I would post a few pics of them all... hopefully I will find some time this summer to continue on the crewcab.. Whew!!

What do ya think?? (last picture) looks like I will need to "Bob" the bottoms of the front fenders and probably shorten up the factory running boards..(had them mocked and they were only a couple inches from the ground)

Re: sneak preview

Thanks for the compliments!!..

I will try to post a formal "build" thread when I officially get started on the crewcabs.. Yes I have two in the works.. the one pictured as a 2WD with a Fuel injected 454, and the other one as a Dually 4X4 with a 6BT Cummins.. (too many ideas... too little time)

Mike... can't think of a better use for our many expired coffee cups.. the dually now has a flat bed on it.. but still has the cup.. (owner cant decide on a fuel fill door) ..

Eric.. Yes... I have been way busy.. been having to turn work down.. way too much to do for one guy with limited space!! (plus I am trying to get to some of my projects).. Yup almost too busy to snatch up the good deals (plus no where to put any more stuff).. well.. except for parting out 4...
C40/50/60's and purchasing a Cheyenne 30 longhorn and a 69 short fleet..

Re: sneak preview

I had always wondered what a 40-60 grill would look like grafted to the front of a 1/2 ton dropped on the ground... now after seeing your truck somewhat in progress, I think it would look pretty rad! Keep me in mind if you happen to have any 67-72 busses you're parting out.

Re: sneak preview

Well, After taking on another customers "PIA" project (Cheyenne Super 4X4) and sending it down the road in July Starting on my 69 Short box project and dealing with two close relatives estates I finally got the wifes Blazer in the shop in August, (I now have all the metal work done now its in High build primer) Not much has happened on the crewcab other than setting a box on it, But as soon as the Blazer gets paint and assembly (hopefully by Halloween) the crew cab comes in!!
