Kind of an emergency question... (brakes)

Hey guys, Well my wheels came in (eagle alloy 225s) and well the front wheels dont fit over the hub. My question is, are there any new roto and hub assemblies that have a smaller hub size for our trucks? I need to make this work as these wheels look badazz on my truck, the quailty of them is awsome.

The back wheels fit on really well, no problems there.

My only other option is to either go buy replacement rotors and have the hubs machined down to fit, or take mine off now and have them machined down to fit..

Like I said though, I need to make this work!

I have an 86 c10 with the 1 1/4 brakes. Heres a pic of one of the wheels.

have you consider using a small spacer on the front?
I just installed my Boss 338 , and I had the same problem on the front,, used a 1/4 spacer and problem solved..

if its similar to the issue with the coy c5's grind down the hub.

I would need to use like a 1 1/2" adapter..

Ya thats what im going to have to do I think, unless I wait until I can buy the 13" big brake kit from mcgaughys, that appears to have a much much smaller hub..

You don't want to use a large spacer. The wheel would pushed out even closer to the fender. Best option is to grind the hub or machine the wheel hole bigger (ouch!)

Going to either grind the hubs or have them machined down.. Dont want to touch the wheel at all. This should be fun though, all the grinding will take about a day or 2!

Ok, so im concidering grinding down the hubs. But im worried about something, is there anything I can mess up by doing this? Or should I just have a machine shop do it?

the way I Grinded mine down was by leaving it on the spindle and slowing working my way around the hub.... no to say this is the best way but it worked for a rookie like me.

i would just take them to a machine shop to have the hubs turned down i would think it wouldnt be THAT much plus you know its done right!

Ya I just called a place, 85$ an hour.. hope its not more then 3 hours max!!

So ive been doing some research, I think these wheels are going to have the same problem as the Boss 338s, seeing how they are made by the same company. If thats the case I might just have to do what all the guys that are running the 338s are doing.

The problem that I have is really really similar to the 338s, just sent american eagle an email to confirm if the wheels are infact similar.
