New guy on board

Morning!

I'm not new to classic vehicles but I am to classic trucks. Just purchased a 1962 c-10 from my neighbor. Fleetside, 235, 3 on the tree. Surprisingly good shape and still all stock, needs a tune-up in the 'wurst way. I'll get some pics up later. Looking forward to getting 'er into the shape I want and spending time on this site. later

Re: New guy on board

Thanks. Picked this up from my neighbor.......'62 c-10, three spd., 235, one repaint. It was a city truck owned by a lady who took supper care of it. Planning to return it to factory colors, inside and out.

Welcome!!!
I think I would drop the running boards, tune it up and cruise.Looks good the way it is and sounds like it's really close to original stock.Have fun with it.

Re: New guy on board

Thanks for the replies. Just so happens I never knew my neighbor had the truck since 1994, he seldom drove it and kept it in a garage. Want to level the stance, add the Custom trim, nice wheels and rubber, chrome bumpers and have the grill chromed.

Right now I'm going through the motor so it runs smoother and hope to have the body ready for paint this summer. Being able to do my own work sure helps the bank account.

Now I need to sell a car to pay for this one.
