Re: Motor mount question

big block mounts have a dish that starts right off the frame rail down tothe motor mount the small blocks have a strait slope to the mount

Re: Motor mount question

bb will not work on sb mounts unless you have shorty headers or get lucky with a certian brand header.I tried to put bb on sb stands and the exhaust manifolds hit the frame stands.same with 2 sets bb headers I had.I had to get correct bb stands.I had sb on bb stands and bb auto linkage on truck I bought with bb removed and sb installed.trans linkage was at an odd angle and wore a grove in the pivot pin. sb auto frame pivot pin may have corrected this with bb stands but I pulled it all and installed all correct sb stuff so don't know for sure on that. once I installed sb stands fan wanted to just lightly rub bottom of bb shroud and I put in correct sb shroud also.it did have aftermarket flex fan and this might have caused rub.
