looking into getting this, 90's fox body

at the time i don't know much about it other than what i have seen by mere glance. il be working on getting specific info asap as well as more pictures. i don't know much of anything about it cause a friend of my second cousins whos storing it at his place while the guy builds a big pole shed an hes wanting around 2500 for it. what i do know is it has the 5.0 and an auto trans and i believe newer dual exhaust and newer bf Goodrich radials in the rear. will get info asap. just want opinions and need to know info about the fox body sport lx, it must be around 1990 in year.

nice looking mustang, i think 87-88 tho

they're fun cars tons of stuff available//if its got a 5liter i dont think original i'm pretty sure they came with 5lugs so the rear and suspension might b for 4cyl car

Re: looking into getting this, 90's fox body

The 5 liters came with 4 lugs just like the 4cyl but with a beefier 8.8 rearend, bigger brakes while some of the GTs had rear disk as well.. 5 lugs diddn't become standard until the SN95 body in '94. It is a very commom swap to install SN95 s lug front hubs and axles into the Fox body though.

From the look of the rims and I would say 87-90 Hard to tell otherwise without under hood pics.

If it is pre 89 then it will be a speed density car. The speed density setup is not very tuneable and does not acept mods well. It is very easy to upgrade to mass air though. You would simply need a new Mass Air (AL9) ECU, the Mass air meter, a conversion pigtail, and the mass air ducting, or cold air kit... all readily available on ebay, or in your favorite wrecking yard. make the conversion and then the skys the limit for mods such as bigger injectors, larger throttle bodies, headers, cams, heads, etc... the Mass Air will adjust for these as the speed density will not.

Any way, yeah they are fun, I own a couple and have done this as well... If you do get it and want to do the Mass air swap the internet is loaded with info...I could help you out with links and schematics as well.

I see them on craigslist in that price range all the time here ,so if you still want one it shouldn't be hard to find.

Re: looking into getting this, 90's fox body

It was an 89 or older..90 and up had big square steering wheel center. Great cars, and easy to find just watch for rust. I have bought a few cheap from Las Vegas where they seem to be everywhere. Keep looking, there is no shortage of mustangs, especially if you like the hatchback style..coupes are much harder to find and more expensive.
