58 Build with little experience
I am new to the sight and have been looking at the gorgeous trucks each of you have taken on. I will try to attach some pics but I recently bought 58 that was sitting on a ranch down in Wilcox, AZ for a year or two. Prior to that I was told it was a daily driver. The truck has a crate 350 with a 4 speed and it surely needs some TLC. I want to do all the work myself but have never taken on such a project. I plan to just do one task at a time and take it slow. I will surely need advice along the way and will be leaning on this site for help.

Re: 58 Build with little experience
That looks like a really nice truck to start with if only I was so lucky. You picked a great site for information and encouragement.

Nice start with the crate engine and 4 speed. The people here are great. Ask a stupid question and still get an answer.

Re: 58 Build with little experience
This is a great place to get info, see cool trucks and meet other sick and twisted car people. Nice truck to start with some of ours were in pieces when we started so you picked a good one.

Re: 58 Build with little experience
Nice truck, and being from Az probably not a rust bucket. Two things caught my eye, it has an unmolested dash and an original V8 hood moulding. Both of those things are rare on a TF.

Re: 58 Build with little experience
I noticed that v8 hood moulding too, I am looking for one for my 59. nice truck, mine is a original AZ truck too, I got it in 76, I hope yours is in as good of shape. Is the 4 speed a truck or car unit?
