Fuel valve

Hi Gang,

Does any know where I can acquire a
switch over valve for an aux. tank?

I would prefer the electric kind that I
can wire to change with the tank
gauge.

I searched the sites and found one
for a Bronco but I am afraid it would
be to much trauma for my truck to
start putting Ford stuff on it.

Oh go ahead, a little Ford technology never hurt nobody. I love having a Ford starter solenoid wired in. If you want to stick with Chevrolet, then get the valve for the 73+ trucks with dual tanks. It was electric in my 78 C20. If you have a sending unit in your aux tank then get the switch for the same set up. It switches the gas gauge at the same time.

Anyone know best place to get a manual one. I got an extra tank I want to put back on my longhorn but I also wanna replace the switch while I'm down under the truck.

da-burb and Mario,

Thanks for the info.

I priced the chevy unit and it is $75.
The Bronco unit is $45.

I guess the old truck is going to have
some trauma. I'll just put a little B-12
in the tanks. That should help some.

When I did a web search, I found
a lot of manual aircraft type valves.
You should be able to find a manual
unit at a marine dealer.

The GM part just didn't get discontinued did it? The last time I checked on a replacement part for that valve, it was only $15-20. I am sure it would have been through someone like NAPA auto parts and it wouldn't have been genuine GM. I was looking to buy 2 valves so I could run the main tank and the 2 saddle tanks off of 2 switches.
