How easy is this frame horn to repair? Buying a collection.
I am buying a guys collection and this was one of his shotbeds. One of the other shortbed frames has had the frame horns are cut off. These are my two concerns about my the whole deal. There are two 69 SWB trucks one converted to 5 lug and one is a fleetside and one a stepside. There is also a seperate stepside bed. I will also be purchasing 5+doors, fenders cowls, a couple of hoods and 72 a/c cab, 90's bench all kinds of odds and ends, pullies, ram horns etc. One of the cabs may be too far gone. I forgot to get pics of the frame that was cut. Here are some pics.

a little heat and a welder and your in business. Since the frame horns are forward of the front crossmember, then you shouldn't worry about any structural integrity being comprimised. Thats the great thing about steal, you can heat it bend it, cut it, bend it some more, fill in some missing spots, and weld it some more...

It looks like that passenger side frame horn has a crinkle all the way back towards the crossmember....I would worry about alignment problems after all is said and done.

same as above ,passenger side looks to have already been tried to straighten. bolt in cross member instead of rivot.you might be better off cutting that side off behind the crossmember and replacing.then you would only have 1 weld and a nice straight horn and radiator support mount.
