painting gauge needles
what are you guys useing to paint yalls gauge needles? i have tried a few things but looks like crap or just won't do right thanks

Cut a slit in a piece of paper and slide it under the needle. It will mask off everything else but the needle. Use a spray can to coat it.

i did the slit paper trick and used flourescent orange r/c car paint and a modeling brush to do the speedo and gas gauge needles while the cluster was apart to add a used tach and new vac add on kit.

I used some orange testors model paint and I'm very happy with the results. I couldn't find day glow orange anywhere, but if you can that would be the way to go.

Florescent red-orange model paint and brush with paper to mask under the needle.
