Please help me build an air ride set up

Okay I have read through several threads and am trying to gather as much info as possible to do my own air ride.

I have a 49 Chev truck with an original frame. Mustang II front end and will be installing a triangulated rear end.

I would like to start buying bits and peices for a bagged set up and need your help / suggestions please.

Tell me what I need in regards to tank size, compressor size, fittimgs etc.

For the tank I don't understand the fittings part and have read that I should go with 3/8 or 1/2". Is this tank 1/2"?

Am I going in the right direction so far??

1/2 is too fast for most setups. I would run all 3/8's valves and line, at least 5 gallons, or 8 gallons if you are going to show off. I would run a 380 or 480 if you go with 5 gallons, 2 of them if you run any more. The 200 psi comps are helpful to make full use of the smaller tanks on heavier vehicles
you have npt, which is the thread parts and you have tube, which is the line. so you may see a fitting that reads 1/2 npt x 3/8 tube. That means the threads will fit a 1/2 threaded hole, and the other side hold a 3/8 air line.

for bags, im not sure what fits a mustang 2 front, but in the rear i would use a sleeve style bag

With a MII front suspension, a 2500lb bag fits. Not sure a 2600lb bag will. I personally would run 1/4" lines. I have 1/2" lines on a mustang and it jumps way to fast. 5 gallon is enough to get the truck back up but you wont be able to go up and down a few times.

I will be fixing my mustang and using a reducing bushing from 1/2" npt to 1/4". I will also be running 1/4" on the truck Im working on now.

Ok I picked up some SMC 1/2" valves cause the price was just too good to say no.

Can I buy a reducer to drop it down to 3/8's to slow it down? Would I do this right at the valve itself and then run 3/8's for line?

Also the Dominator's are 1/2" so I guess I would be able to do the same?

Please let me know if I'm on the right track here.

You would buy 1/2npt x 3/8tube fittings for the valves. Probably need the same, but in 90 degree or "elbows" for the bags. For the dump side I would use reducer bushings i.e. 1/2npt x 1/4 npt, and a 1/4 muffler in front, 3/8 muffler in rear
