rear helper bag kit ?
I have a 78 blazer with a c notch and flipped with a 1 in. block but hits the frame sometimes ,so I was thinking of getting some air bag helpers. The ones I see are from sportrite by firestone, airlift has some and of course a.r.t.Just wondering if anyone has any input on which is betteretc.I see they range from 2000 lbs lift and up.what would be a good rate for my blazer.here is pic of the style I,m looking for

Re: rear helper bag kit ?
That will work, but you are limited on space due to the shape of the frame. Take a look at what at what tvblazer78 did on his. It might be a way for you to consider. LINK

Yes, the second pic is how my 77 was built before I put the Ride Tech system on it.

Re: rear helper bag kit ?
did that work for you?the thing I was worried about most was the rated lift, like the airlift one is rated at 2000lb lift cap. A.R.T. is rated at 3000lbs.I,m not carrying anything but my dog, but I think the blazer is heavyier in the rear

Re: rear helper bag kit ?
The system you have pictured worked excellent for several years. It rode well and handled great. I will say that it had a rather narrow range for a "sweet spot" but that's the worst I can say about it. I didn't even realize it until I replaced the system.

Re: rear helper bag kit ?
I had the Bell Tech Air Jack bags on my 89. They were rated at 5000 lbs. I had about a 1/4" space between the bag and the tire. Never seemed to hit though. When I didn't have a load in the bed I had to pretty much let all the air out of the system to get a better ride.
I had the Slam-Air bags rated at around 2000 lbs. on my 93. I had a little more space with those, but not much. The Slam-Air had a little better ride and could handle my camping trips with the boat or handle a good load of moss rock with ease. In both cases the air bags were used as helper springs.
