Electric question

If you were looking for a good "key on" 12 volt source and did not want to cut any wires, where would you connect? Coil maybe? I'm looking for a source to supply 12 volts to an electric choke and do not want to chop up the wireing harness.

You don't want to use the coil unless you've converted to HEI. At least that's my understanding. Before I did the painless harness I had a relay that was powered up from a terminal on the fuse block. I think it was IGN/UNFUSED and took a male blade terminal. That powered all my accessories that the factory never planned on when they esigned the harness.

Cool 12 volts

If you want 12 volts, do as '72 Shorty said. If you hook to the coil as is, when you go to crank the truck the volts will drop off at the coil because of the resister built inside the wire. That's why when you swap to a HEI unit you have to cut this wire. There is a circuit that is 12 volts unfused at the fuse block under the dash.
You cold also hook straight to the battery if you wanted to and put a inline fuse in.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

You could do what I'm gonna do and add an auxiliary fuse box powered via a relay switched from the ign unfused terminal. It's exactly the same setup that painless sell as the "Cirkit Boss" add on fuse box but will cost you far less and you can source the components from any good auto elecrical store. See the attached wiring diagram for details. Just make sure that you don't exceed the maximum load you've allowed yourself.
