Rear shocks are different length???
I took my shocks off my 2000 silverado that is lowered with flip kit and noticed my drivers side shock is longer than the passenger side shock by about 2''??? Is this normal for these trucks??? When I took the shocks off it droped the truck about 3/4''. The shocks that are on it are trailmaster 4 way coilover style shock??? I installed a set of monroe shocks same length and it now sits un even??? Any Help and advise would help!

Seem like so "Previous Owner" rigging to me. I would get into checking the springs and mounting points. Something is worn/bent, something.

no, they are diffrent lenghts, when i lowered my 2000 dually the kit from djm had two diffrent part numbers for the shocks. i thought they made a mistake, but after talking to djm indeed they are two diffrent lenghts. atleast on my truck they are.

I would remove the shocks completely, let it back down so that is is at ride height. Check for level at that point. You may be holding one side down with a short shock?
Seems pretty stupid to have different length shocks on opposite sides, but I guess anything is possible? Didn't the auto parts place say that they were different?

Okay I will try this. The truck seems to be very unforgiving when i hit any kind of ruts or bad roads. I hope these new shocks take care of this???

it's probably sprung pretty stiff.. or you can even be hitting the frame?.. shocks would not do much in both of these cases though.

could be the previous owner moved one of the mounts (could be it broke of the original place )or mounted another rearaxle

i got a job again and having fun at it too idea's for the trucks and the order of things to do are taking shape and get closer to being realized , a few more months and i be able to start building for real i complete 2 of the trucks intoo running fashion one custom and one basicly stock the thirth will be sacrificed for parts |
