Oil press. sending unit leak
Hey all,
I was told my oil pressure sending unit is leaking (and its believable because of the oil mark on my driveway after a good drive) I was also told that my distributor gasket is leaking too. I think im just gonna plug the sending unit or could i try giving the nut a quarter turn? Any ideas? Matt |

Re: Oil press. sending unit leak
Put in a new sending unit. They are available at any parts store & not very expensive. Then wash it down & check it the next day. It's doughtful the dist gasket is leaking but sometimes it can leak oil at the rear of the intake manifold.

Re: Oil press. sending unit leak
The rubber gasket across the back of the intake manifold is often the culprit if the intake has been off. Also, if your valve cover gaskets are leaking they tend to end up dripping oil towards the back of the engine because of its slant.
