Some timing help please.

Need a little help setting the timing for my C-10. I have a inline 6 cylinder with a 250 displacement. My dad and I are trying to set the timing without the benefit of a timing light. Would like to know which way to rotate the distributor cap (clockwise or counterclockwise) to advance the timing.

Any help is appreciated.

Much obliged.

Adam

Re: Some timing help please.

If you have a vaccum gauge...you can use it to get the timing in the ball park. vaccum should go up when your closing in on the sweet spot.
