Anybody know what the factory color/finish is for the truck frames? I'm assuming it was black, but was it flat , semi gloss, egg shell.... ?????

A natural steel color that turned to a rusty color after a while
Just kidding
I've never seen any paint on an original frame
If they did it sure didn't last very long

My '66 Panel had flat back paint on the frame (in spots) when I pulled the body off. It looked original.

I have 2 car's with frame off restoration's. The closet that you can touch the frame up is Krylon Semi Flat. It is so close to the original color that it is hard to tell. Try it and you will not be dissapointed. You can't take the car back to the restoration shop just for something that simple.
