sounds funny...
Just had the quadrajet rebuilt and true duals put on the '85 High Sierra. Now the drivers side exhaust has what sounds like an air compressor popoff valve sound to it.
Could something be wrong with that particular muffler? |

Exhaust overlap on two cylinders of the same bank will do that depending on the cam that is installed.

It's a stock 305 as far as I know.

Make yourself feel better, do a compression test. Did you get a crossover pipe?
