New member about to start my first C-10 build
I have been lurking around on the board for a few months. My uncle gave me a 69'swb fleetside original for my wedding present. I have always wanted to do a resto-modded 67-72! You guys have some sick trucks on this board I hope to drop some jaws later myself. I previously resto-modded my 72 Monte Carlo about 3 years ago. I have owned this car for 13 yrs it has a big block 454 LS-6 pumped a little from a 70 chevelle and custom paint. I have been thinking about trading it for a 72 GMC swb but don't know if I will do it yet. I am going to visit my parents this week and look at how much I need to spend to atleast get my 69' body worked and primered to daily drive. If it's reasonable I don't think my Monte will be going anywhere. I already have 502 BBC and built overdrive tranny ready to go in the truck. The rockers are replaced and the body is pretty straight. I just need to order some 20/18 Coys to bolt up and that will keep me happy until I decide on paint. Wish me luck and I will post pics of the 69' soon. I posted a couple pics of my Monte she has a slight glow all the time lol...

Yea I have seen some some nice trucks in the build section. My family has quite a few C-10's so alot of it I have seen my relatives do. But it is nice to see all the documented mods done on this site. Absolutely awsome trucks on this board!
