Slam Specialties RE or SS series for a small truck ???

Hello together,

i want to change my front airbags...at the moment i do have firestones 255c on it....

i do have a Chevy Pickup from 1951 with a camaro subframe....

Sofar i would like to buy some slam specialties , but i do not know if should buy the RE or SS series ??

What would you recommend for a little truck ??

With the SS series i could get more stroke ...but the RE series seems to be stronger cuz of the metall plates...

THx for ur help

Achim from Germany

I personally have not used the SS series yet. We have sold thousands of Slams and so far have heard a lot of good things about the SS. The SS series are rated for 250 psi and RE are rated for 200 psi. The SS get about 1-2" more lift than the RE bags. And also the SS series are $10 less than the RE. I think you would be fine with either choice.

re-6 or ss-6's should fit right in.
I dont know anyone that has the ss on their truck, but I had heard my local supplier wont carry slams anymore because of the SS series having issues.
The re, he, and xs series, have always treated me right though. Never had any issues with the bags themselves. The appear to be very high quality.

I had the same question... I decided to go with the RE7, mainly because the mounting plate and the reputation of the RE. I like the extra lift of the SS, I think that would work best if you are body dropped.

Either way, you can't go wrong with Slam, imo!
