Ok, so here's the story....originally I had plans to build a '65 but the project got scraped in order to purchase my house. As of a year ago, I bought and moved into my home...so that's where most of my effort and $$$ has been going, but back in October I met my wonderful girlfriend, who after talking with found out that her grandpa had a '66. Her brother had been driving the vehicle in high school, then parked it because it was burning up too much oil. So after sitting 10+ years, we brought it back to my house this past weekend. This is gonna be a slow build, as we're gonna focus on getting it running and slowly do what we can. I will post pics later of it sitting in it's new home.
Know this....it will be resting on the pavement over 22s!! Can you say Porterbuilt??? ![]() Last edited by Project SIKty-5; 05-24-2010 at 06:05 PM. |

Re: Project SIKty-6
I've been looking at ECE's motor mounts to do a 350 swap...that's the 1st plan for the truck...shortly after that I plan to give Nate @ Porterbuilt a call

Re: Project SIKty-6
I6 mounts work on small blocks unless you have a 292, which you should not. But if you are going with a dropmember it will come with it's own mounts.

Re: Project SIKty-6
Oh really, I didn't know that...thanks for that info Frizzle Fry, I sure appreciate that. One less thing that I have to buy now. Btw...I always enjoy looking at your projects, very clean work.
This is my 2nd attempt at a project, my 1st project I had to let go to get my house, now I can slowly take my time on this one, instead of blasting it apart like the last. I'll be taking plenty of pics to show progress. |
