Volts
I have a 1984 chevy C10 and just replaced the battery, alternator and starter and noticed the volt gauge reads 12V at all times this seems a little low. Can you guys give some input on what your volt gauge reads and what it should read?
Thanks |

Re: Volts
Mine reads about 14 volts. Make sure you check all your grounds.

Re: Volts
It should read 13.5v-14.5v
if I were you I would check voltage at the battery with it running. You might not have a proper functioning charging system

Re: Volts
this happened to me for 2 weeks until i replace it yesterday night. mine had to deal with the connection to the ignition wire. I switched out the red wires because one was burnt by a malfunctioning alternator. then i red around 14-15 volts
