Re: Lighting Upgrades?
i personally like the halogen ones on mine but i heard xenon offers more light with larger power draw(lmc sells a harness with more muscle). the bluish light is blinding to oncoming traffic

Re: Lighting Upgrades?
get aftermarket plastic light assemblies and retrofit projectors in them....
I swaped in a 90 suburban and factory lamps have a metal housing v.s. the 87's all glass housing. anywhooo, I mod'd the headlight, buckets and a few hrs later voila. bad arse lighting in an antique ... because its a projector housing, you get that baller cut off line ... clint

Re: Lighting Upgrades?
87, do you have any pics with the lights off? I like the look of the stock lights, I just can't see in the rain at night.

Re: Lighting Upgrades?
If your looking for an inexpensive alternative, replace the headlights with some Sylvania Silverstars. Not a good as HID's but not as expensive either and better than standard lights.

Re: Lighting Upgrades?
nah, all of the build photos were uploaded to photobucket and it took a poop so all of my "in progress" stuff is gone. As far as the "lights off" you can tell theres something different, you can see that its not all chrome reflective in there, but a round "something" in there. Once your about a foot away and staring at the headlamp, you can tell the round "something" is a projector lense. Lights on, you can see the round lense thats the projectors using. it doesnt use the original headlights chrome back at all.
