Just a quick question here: Can I use the fenders of a '67 C10 with the grill of a '69? I want to use these fenders because they don't have the huge side marker on them but don't know if they can support the grill of my '69. To date, I have not seen a flawless welding or cover plate for the side marker so I was wanting to go this route. Any info or help is much appreciated. Thanks.

just cut the sidemarkers out and take flat metal and weld in there shouldnt be too bad.. thats what im doin to fill in my bed stake holes

You said you've never seen a flawless patch done on a side marker light. Just about every one out there needed a thin skim-coat of filler to blend with the rest of the sheet metal. Sure there are some crazy talented TIG welders who can do this with no body filler at all, but they are an elite group of perfectionists who spend countless hours getting those results. Unless your objective is to roll a naked, bare-steel finish...I don't see why a little glazing putty would be an issue.
