Question 1968 chevrolet c20 4 speed trans

I have a 1968 chevrolet c-20 292 6 cyl with the 4 speed manual trans and eaton rear axle. What type of trans is this? I am having an issue with not being able to shift from 2nd across to 3rd, is there an adjustment somewhere?

SM420- Reverse is left and down
Has One PTO cover
SM465- Reverse is right and down
Has Two PTO covers
No adjustment, but they are both hard to shift if you are not used to them.

Re: 1968 chevrolet c20 4 speed trans

If it is a 68, it should have a Chevy 465 or a New Process 435. The Chevy 420 was last used in 1967. The Chevy has a cast iron top while the New Process has an aluminum top. However, its possible there was a swap at some time and it may be a Chevy 420, if the 420 and 465 are interchangeable. No adjustments that I know of on all of the above.
