Hello! new girl here just picked up a 61 Chevy PU

Saw a lot of great posts about the 60-66 chevy c10s and thought I would join. Also my husband has a 1966 pu. Look forward to learning a lot about my new project

Welcome. Nice truck. I used to have a 61' long bed years ago. Mine looked a lot like yours but I had the large back window. You've gotta love that big wrap around windsheild. How many times have you banged yours knee while getting in and out of the truck? They don't call them knee knockers for nothing.

Re: Hello! new girl here just picked up a 61 Chevy PU

Thanks for the welcome!

luckily I have not knocked my knees yet but I have not had a chance to drive her around either. We think the carb is bad I cannot keep it running consistently. We just bought the truck on the 24th and it will start but if you give it any fuel the thing sneezes. That is our project this weekend...to get it running better.

Welcome to the board, Yep I'd say that the carb needs a rebuild but those are pretty simple to work on.
