Are 67 c10's worth more than 68-72?

I found a pretty nice 67 with the small back glass. If you had a 67 and a 72 side by side in identical condition which one would bring the most money.Or is it personal preference only?

personal preference only. Some people really like the small back window, others hate them(well, maybe hate is too strong a word) , -- 67 has a sloped nose, 72 would have disc brakes and be more likely to have such niceties as power steering and air as well.

So --- its a toss up

It depends on condition and model package to me anyway. I prefer CST's and Cheyennes/Cheyenne Supers. Those are typically worth more, but a resto-mod on a basic package truck, brings pretty good money. It is though, personal preferance. Trevor

Re: Are 67 c10's worth more than 68-72?

Depends. If you are going for a lowered street rod type then the 67 looks sweet, more like a car with the sleeker front nose. If stick height, lifted or 4wd then the 72 looks tougher with the broader front end. Really depends on what you want and like. I love them all. Both styles seem to sell for about the same price, but many guys would prefer the 72 for the 5 lugs and front discs. However, the cost of swapping to 5 lugs and discs is not prohibitive.

all comes down to options.... I would rather have a 72 with a 67 front end

best of both worlds!

Re: Are 67 c10's worth more than 68-72?

Like said by others it just depends what a person wants.

Someday I hope to find a '67 4X4, but for now I have a '67 swb stepper I am working with a I-6.

My other truck is a '71 lwb stepper with a 454.

I enjoy driving them both, but like the looks of the 67 front end best.

As you can see I like my steppers, but a fleet looks really good dropped.

Re: Are 67 c10's worth more than 68-72?

I would say that GENERALLY in old cars and trucks, the last year of a body style run is usually going to be the most valuable. The factory has had time to identify and correct problems and make improvements, like the screw under the vent window on '72s, disc brakes, etc. I am like everyone else here-- I love 'em all. But if there were a similar condition and optioned '67 parked next to a '72 at the same price, I'd go for the '72 every time.

Mine is a 68 body sitting on a 72 frame, best of both worlds! Joseph

Your setup with the '68 body on a '72 sounds like a great combination.

Re: Are 67 c10's worth more than 68-72?

THESE OLD TRUCKS AREN'T MUCH OF AN INVESTMENT. WHAT I MEAN IS YOU'RE SELDOM ABLE TO RECOVER 50 CENTS ON EVERY DOLLAR YOU INVEST. THE LAST ONE I SOLD WAS A 71 BB SHORT FLEET & IT SOLD FOR $16000. SOUNDS LIKE ALOT CONSIDERING IT WAS 8 OR SO YEARS AGO. BUT I HAD OVER $10000 INVESTED IN PARTS (NOT INCLUDING THE PURCHASE PRICE OF WHAT I STARTED WITH) & ABOUT 3000 HOURS OF LABOR. NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD FIND THAT ACCEPTABLE UNLESS THEY GOT ALOT OF ENJOYMENT OUT OF WORKING ON & DRIVING THESE OLD TRUCKS. THAT BEING SAID... MY 72 & 69 BOTH WEAR 1968 FRONTEND SHEETMETAL. I LOVE THESE OLD TRUCKS..BUT THEY SURE AREN'T MONITARY INVESTMENTS. JOHN

Re: Are 67 c10's worth more than 68-72?

I like the 67-68 front end the best, I like the no side markers of the 67, I like the big back window, I like power disc brakes and 5 lug wheels.

I guess that's why you build it! Mine has all that and more

Alot of wants dreams desires and preferences listed but to answer your question of two trucks side by side ( 67 & 72 ) Generally the market value is better on the 72. We like em all.

Re: Are 67 c10's worth more than 68-72?

I dont think so....It is totally up to the individual what grille they like best as this trucks are all so similar that I cant see one being worth more than the next stock vs stock..
