Heater A/C Problem - center vent blows warm when side vents cold and no defog air
The A/C works on the truck and blows cold from the side vents but the center vents has some warm air flowing. Also, there is no air flow to the defog when I move the lever there. There is obviously a problem with the the flapper valves - any idea how to fix?

It sounds like the diverter box flpper door is not moving when you move the levers. Here is a pic of the box that is usually the problem. (Box that is on the floor with the cable running to it).

if you have cold air out the sides you should have the same air out the center. They come out in almost the same spot of the diverter box. There is no way heat could go into just the center vent and not the sides. Do you know where the hoses are run to?

I think I was imagining it when I said it blew cold on the sides - but that is a separate problem. |
