new rotor & bearings install ?

I have a 80 2 wheel dr. and had a semi bad rotor so decided to change both and bearings anyway, but I have to go up north[,400 miles] I have a couple days till I leave, so will they seat a little more, and should I re-check the pre-load when the truck is hot or cold.I get paranoid when I do something just before I leave.First 100 miles is, whats that noise.I,ll bring my laptop and someone will tow me home before a cougar gets me, HA

There is no reason the have to re-check them. If they were right in the first place, they will be fine.
