all the front sheet metal is interchangeable, doors-60-63, then 64-66, same with the cab.
cabs will interchange with the frame with a little work to the front mount.
frame is 60-62, then 63-66, with the different front mount.

To install a '60-'62 cab onto a '63-'72 frame, you'll need to drill new holes for the front cab mount bolts. If you want to go to the work, the recessed pockets for the bolt heads can be moved also. This will keep the bolt heads flush with the floor.

I'm not quite sure what you mean??? I'm also in the process of putting a 62 cab on a 64 chassis, so I want all the info I can get. I already drilled the rivets out and removed the mounts from the 64 chassis, (64 chassis and mount in pic) and am about to remove the front cab mounts from the 62 chassis.

here is a pic of 63 frame, and 61 mounts.
Not sure if changing he mounts will work (I think the frames were a different width through the center?), I think most just drill a new hole...
txfirefighter has had some experience with this..

Re: will 62 body parts fit on 64?

I was talking about drilling a new hole in the floor of the cab, through the front cab mount to line up with the '63-'72 front body mount bracket on the frame. The recessed pocket I mentioned is on the floor of the cab where the original front cab mount is. I wouldn't bother trying to change the front cab mount brackets on the frame. For one I don't know if that will work and the '60-'62's are welded onto the frame. Just drilling a new hole in the cab floor will be a lot easier and less work.
