1971 GMC C20 Swapping 350/350 to 454/400, lil help

I am upgrading my 71 C20 2wd longbed from a 350/350 to a 454/400

I was going to run the th350, but I removed the trans and dropped the pan, lots-o-metal in it, so on to the th400
I have the 454 upgrade info from this site (thanks everyone) but I need your input on the trans upgrade.

What I know is......
there are three diff th400's, I have the short version. It came with the yoke I was told I need.

Do I need diff linkage? shift rod?
shorten driveshaft?
anything else I am missing?

On another note, I am looking for a blue steering wheel with a GMC horn button. I am cool with either the 67-68 style or the 69-72 style.

You will probably need to shorten the driveshaft. Other than that, you should be good to go.
