Any solutions to a leaking 6 Cylinder ( 292 )?

Anyone have any tips or tricks for getting a 292 (or any 6 cylinder) to seal up good? I replaced the gaskets, then replaced some again with aviation sealant and the side covers still leak. I think the rear main is leaking too. I wouldn't think that I'd have this much problem with new gaskets, but am looking for someone that has has success in getting a good seal on these engines for more than a few months.

A separate but related question is would a fresh rebuild on the engine help keep things sealed up? I didn't do any machine work with the gasket replacements I did previously. I'd like to have a plan when I get into the flywheel replacement I'm looking at right now.

I haven't found these engines to be particularly difficult to seal. Might your PCV system be defective or inoperative? If so, this could result in excessive crankcase pressure and that would definitely cause leaks.
