Tire Sizes???
I just sold my worn out 33's and need to get some new tires. I was running them on a 12" wide weel with a 4" lift and didn't rub. Can I fit a 35" tire under my truck on the 12" wide wheel or will I need to narrow down to 10" wide? What are you guys with 4" of lift running for tires and what are your wheel width's?

Hey Slick, I know I'm not running the same size lift, wheels or tires, but here's what I have if it helps you to decide. I'm running a 35x14.5 tire mounted on 14" wide rims, 3 5/8" backspacing so they really stick out there. I have an 8" suspension lift and I can make my front tires rub. Hope this helps ..........

You can run a 35 with a 10" wheel, but most likely the 35 on the 12 will rub. For the most part I have no troubles with my 35's, but the do contact if you get it twisted up. And a little turning flat on the passenger side, but that is from an incorrectly executed body repair to the lower front of the pass. fender done sometime in the mid 70's.

I'm running 35 x12.5x15 w/ a 6" lift. I haven't had any rubbing issues (yet). My first Blazer had 35's and a 4" lift. I don't remember the exact tire size, but I think it was the same. I never took it off road so I couldn't tell you if it rubbed durning flex, but I had no problems on the street. I have heard of many people trimming the "Fang" off the of the wheel cuttout on the fenders to add more clearance for turning. How stiff is your lift? Also, different tire brands are different heights. I have heard that if your close to rubbing, avoid swampers or any tires with the big side lugs.
