Re: Flat red truck

My`67 is going together in red oxide. It`s not flat since it`s a sealing primer.I hope I can tear it back down for paint before it turns pink .I was going with the tech primer (tannish-yellowish) but found the red oxide laying around.

Re: Flat red truck

any reason to post a pic of my truck..keep in mind this is red primer from Napa $43 a gallon...I'm trying to get all the moving parts working together and find some decent panels (tough in New england) then I'll think?? about painting it..to tell the truth it will be primer as long as I own it....and its easy to touch up if it looks to shabby

Re: Flat red truck

I know you are after the flat look but I painted mine with the redish brown primer in a spray can and then used a gun in a booth for a coat of clear. Yes thats right, primer with clear. Notice the cowl is the primer without clear. I did it a few days later. Its been at least 2 years and still looks new.

Re: Flat red truck

Most people dont believe me when they see it. It looks very good and has held up nice. This is my daily driver and is always parked outside in the Dallas, Tx weather.
