Sweet Stepside,... (Members truck?)
I don't suppose a board member owns this truck?
Stepsides are making a come back,...

Re: Sweet Stepside,... (Members truck?)
I don't know the owner, but I remember seeing somewhere that he is the one in front of the tree, I am not sure if he is a member on here or not. Very sweet stepper indeed.

They never were very desirable as a truck to restore or use to build a show truck,... in my area. All the bagged show trucks in magazines are always fleetsides. Maybe I mis-spoke,... but I do see a few more stepsides being redone into nice trucks lately. (on the internet) And maybe it was more my opinion,... but I have always liked the fleetside trucks better. I really like the red truck I posted in this thread. (I would change the wheels,... but that's it) I knew a guy that bought a brand new black stepside in 1987. It was lowered on ralleys. That was the coolest stepside I knew of for a long time. I guess because it was a loaded, fuel injected truck. You just didn't see them much.

Re: Sweet Stepside,... (Members truck?)
I kinda like the wheels and I think they look better on my truck than they do on my Tahoe...

Re: Sweet Stepside,... (Members truck?)
There is no disrespect to say that steppers haven't seen the popularity that fleetsides have. That's a just a fact based on sales volume then and now.
Regardless, they are seeing an increase in popularity as of late. It seems that SWB fleets are becoming common, so the steppers are getting there day in the sun. I dig em all.... As far as the wheels go, they do have a more contemporary look to them. Roadrage shows us that they can look good on old and new trucks.

Re: Sweet Stepside,... (Members truck?)
I'm like you, not a big fan of the late model conversion. I think those wheels go well with the grill, and vice-versa.

Re: Sweet Stepside,... (Members truck?)
I love the steppers. Think they have more of a "hot rod"-ish look to them. Throw some fat street meats on the back and some skinnys up front and uuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm-um, I dig! I even found an old issue of HOT ROD magazine that I have from the 70's and there are two steppers featured in that issue. Pretty sweet! I do love my fleetside with all the original trim though!

Re: Sweet Stepside,... (Members truck?)
I prefer stepsides. I have a fleetside because I couldn't find a nice stepside.
