Anyone want a 21,000 dollar 95 Tahoe?

It's even a diesel, and has a sunroof

I think this guy is high on something....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...fCarsQ5fTrucks

WTF??

Quote:
As for why I am selling it which is what I always want to know when I buy something is, I love the truck alot, but I am looking at sound proofing the inside since it is still pushing 92 db while driving. I have looked up what everyone has recommended and Hushmat says that its best results have been to drop the db down by 10. Still putting me at 82 db and that is best case senerio. I am ok with the loud noise but I have two kids that I am pilling in and out and I starting to get concerned that I am damaging there hearing.

Re: Anyone want a 21,000 dollar 95 Tahoe?

You're going to ask $21,000 for a 15 year old, 190,000 mile truck and only put up 4 really crappy pictures to sell it with?? What a moron!

Re: Anyone want a 21,000 dollar 95 Tahoe?

The seller is evidently trying to recoup all his money that he spent, as if he has actually improved his vehicle to the point that it is rare and collectable.

It's a common fallacy for us truck nuts to believe that everything we do to make our truck, "ours" and something unlike "everyone else's", is going to increase its value.

If the owner thinks his truck is worth that much, so be it. If he actually sells it for that, he should consider himself lucky. If he gets half that amount, I'd be surprised. The scoring system that appears in the ad says it is a "45", when comparable vehicles score higher. I say this because I believe the higher scores are desirable and this truck didn't make it.

As to his concerns about noise levels within the interior, I have a solution....buy ear protectors. Get 'em custom made at a gun shop or buy the kind that look like headphones.

Noise levels above 90db over an 8-hour time-weighted test period can be harmful, but do you think he's keeping his kids trapped inside and running the engine for more than 8 hours, non-stop?? I don't either.

9K on trade was probably a net offering of less than 4K.

the sunroof is a nice touch on the plus side but i'd save myself 16 thousand and buy a 4x4 one with a 6" lift with 37"'s with 120kmiles for 5,500 at a car lot in my area

I bet his wife told him to get rid of it and he doesn't want to, so he priced it in a range that would only make people laugh, that way he can tell her he tried.

Awww, we don't need to diss the guy because he likes his truck....do we?

If I thought I had to sell my truck for what the market will bear, I wouldn't do it. If, however, I thought I could sell it for what I would like to get for it....somebody's gonna get a screwin'....and I'm gonna be smilin'...

I'm not dissing him because he likes his truck. But I am dissing him for thinking someone else will pay that kind of money for it.

I have many pictures and would be happy to send them but am cheap when it comes to the extra .15 cents when minimal people have been interested."

The engine alone is about $6500. But the rest is not worth it.
