Drop spindles with drums?

I have a feeling I already know the answer, but I am wondering if there are any drop spindles out there that I could use my front drums/hubs with? I haven't seen any with any vendor. It sure would make my job a lot easier than converting to disc. Well, easier on my check book that is. Any help?

Re: Drop spindles with drums?

no drop spindles for drums. but atleast you can keep your 6 lug pattern (you dont have to change to 5 lug spindles and disc's up front and 5 lug rearend). they make a 6 lug rotor and a 5 lug rotor. best thing to do is go to junkyard and find a 73-87 and pull the brake booster, master cyl and prop valve. the local pull-a-part charged me $20. then buy drop spindles, new rotors, calipers and flex brake lines.

Re: Drop spindles with drums?

Yeah, thats what I figured. I have power brakes. I was hoping I could just get a different prop valve/block for disc/drum and then get drop spindles, hub, disc brakes and be good to go.
