Inline 6 header clearance issue

Finally getting the long tube headers installed on my 250 Stovebolt &
the clutch rod is resting on one of the down tubes.

Clutch seems to be working fine...In the garage.
(Haven't drove it yet)

Don't think there's enough adjustment to back it off.
Can I run it like this or will it hurt the header?

If you are really worried about it, you could cut a little off the end of the rod. Just make sure first that the adjustment is where you want it.

That's probably the best way.
You can always replace the clutch push rod if you cut off too much.
Back in the day we'd get the header tube hot and ding it in gently with a light ball pein hammer about 1/4 " deep to make clearance. Not so hard or deep that you impede backflow.
