Hangers

Can anyone show me a picture of what a stock leaf hanger and a 2" lowered hanger look like? Thanks

Re: Hangers

I do have a shot of the 2" lowering shackle while it was on for a short time. The stock one is just "stubbier", ie shorter.

Re: Hangers

I already have the 2" shackles, but I tried getting more drop by modifying my hangers. I modified them thinking they were stock, but now im wondering if they were already drop hangers. I raised the mounting position 1.5 inches, but I didnt get any drop. Do drop hangers move the leaf mounting point further out towards the cab, or do they just raise the mounting point? Im trying to get pics. Thanks

Re: Hangers

these are my lowering hangers. They would have had rivets instead of bolts If they were stock

Re: Hangers

Thanks for the pic, I deffinately already had drop hangers. Would there be a problem with me making my hangers longer and moving the leaf mounting point higher to get more drop?

Re: Hangers

I don't know. Or you could just remove a leaf? That's what I'm gonna do but I need to lower the front more first.

Re: Hangers

I'm in the same boat as you. I wanna go lower but if I flip it it'll be too low and the only other way is taking out a leaf. I'm either gonna flip it and put factory shackles or just remove a leaf. I also have some load leveling bags that I plan to use to be able to adjust ride level.
