How does hydro boost work

After getting feed back from a previous thread it looks like a hydro boost system is the way to go for my 67 with too much cam for the current four wheel power disc brake system. I have no idea where to start, i've never seen one. I know it works off the power steering pump. What one do i get? How does it plumb into the power steering pump so that the power steering still works? What do i do for brake pedal rod, etc? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: How does hydro boost work

Not sure, but I figure you will need a power steering pump that is designed for it.

I am not sure what years have hydro-boost though, I know my '92 K-3500 does.

Hopefully some one else that knows more while chime in.

Danny

Re: How does hydro boost work

I took a setup from a 79 Diesal cadillac for a truck and it worked great.
