In need of a 67-72 lwb bed
I am throwing around the idea of just buying a used bed for my truck. I was going to repair it, but there is a lot of rust everywhere I look and it may be shot.
Does anyone have a clean example withing moderate driving distance of Cleveland, OH? I have some parts willing to trade or have cash. SBC, TH400 tranny, brand new 650 Demon carb, etc. Thanks -Jeff |

I have one off of a 72. It has a dent on the drivers side right beside the tail light. I can get you some pics tonight.

Here are the pics. The worst part is the drivers side by the tail light. The holes are in the fenders. The floor is solid and the underneath is solid as well. Let me know what you think.

Yes...you are responding to an add. If you were to intiate the FS then that would go against the rules. So far now it's a go unless I find out that I am mistaken.

Re: In need of a 67-72 lwb bed
rich67, let me know I am interested. As little rust as possible is what I am going for, but as long as it is in an easy spot to repair I am alright with that.
My bed has rust everywhere, inside, outside, supports, etc. A little disappointing but oh well. That's what years of rotting wood will do to you. |

Re: In need of a 67-72 lwb bed
I have access to a longbed off of a 71-72 cheyenne, it has the original ochre paint on it and I believe the only rust in it is on the bed floor clear back in the corners. It came off of a california truck that got smacked in the fornt . I believe it has upper and lower moldings. It is located in Junction City Kansas...2hours west of Kansas City Mo. I have no way to deliver it and I would need to get ahold of my Uncle as he now owns it to get you a price. This is a very very nice straight bed ,

Re: In need of a 67-72 lwb bed
I have one in my yard - if you come get it - at a time that works for both of us - $200 and it is yours. No tailgate comes with it at that price though...
It does have some minor rusting [pin holes from memory] in the floor, it is inverted so I can't get a picture from the top side at this moment. If you are going to bedline it - it might fill all the holes up... I won't be doing any of the lifting so bring people to help. It is roughly 30 yards from the driveway, but the yard is accessible for a truck/trailer to get close enough to load it. If interested PM me - I don't get on the board much. |

Re: In need of a 67-72 lwb bed
ksbrtracer: While the sound of a nice, clean, straight bed is enticing...Kansas may be too far unless the price was really good and I could figure out some way to freight it.
