Diesel Cab Firewall Cover / Insulator?
I was robbing some parts off a diesel Silverado and I noticed there was a 2pc plastic insulated cover over 3/4 of the driver's side firewall. Its mounting in the engine bay, not under the dash. I don't have any pics, but is anyone familiar with these?
I assume they are for sound deadening and so I thought about throwing it on my crew cab just for the hell of it. First time I have seen one.

Re: Diesel Cab Firewall Cover / Insulator?
My brothers 84 K30 was a 6.2 origionally, and it had the extra insulation. We call it "the ol' quiet cab"

NOt that it actually 'quiets' the 6.2. Makes mine a little less annoying as compared to a military non-insulated version.
Not sure if they'll fit on a big block....
