6.2 complete Diesel motor for sale 147K miles

I have a 1984 6.2 litre diesel motor for sale. Its in a 1984 chevy 1 ton 4x4 truck. The prevous owner reports that it runs "great". The truck is fully functional (so can be started and driven to confirm condition).

I'm looking for the best reasonable offer. Not sure what market value is for this motor so any advise on this would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Question

Jeffy,

I am looking for a 6.2 Diesel. I have an 85 Suburban that is Diesel.

Could you tell me where the truck is at?

How much are you looking to get for the motor?

Is there any extra charge for pulling the motor out?

Are you selling the complete motor?

Thanks,

Hi Ryan,

The motor is in Seattle WA.

I was thinking the fair price is about $500.

No charge for pulling but shipping is not included.

It is complete.

Thanks.

6.2 Diesel

The motor you have in the truck is a 6.2. There were two (2) models a lite and heavy duty. These motors are good performers but they due have a problem you need to look for. The rear main sometime becomes crack. A price of $300.00 is what there worth if you cannot hear them run.

The motor can be started and run (it sounds good to me). And if any one is intrested I will sell it for 300 - you pull. You can take the whole truck for 500.

Title

One ton frame 84' GMC

12 bolt rear axle

2 danna 44 fronts (one disk one drum)

good hood glass etc.

body is rough

The truck is missisng the tranny, transfer case and brake/steering systems.

Thanks.

i live in central ohio but i am interested in this. i have no idea how to get it to here but i am interested. the price sounds right to me. did u say 500 for the whole truck or is that a mistake. with a tranny and a transf. case and stearing and breaks will it drive? how bad is the body? is it a regular cab? turbo? does it have a bed on it? what about the interior, how good of shape is it in? how many options does it have, A/C, PL, PW, PS, PB, ect.? i would like to know everyhting about this truck. a lot of detaled pics would be great. u can reply to all this at jwesthoven56_05@msn.com. i am very interested in this truck and i need to know everyhting about it. thank you so much. talk to ya later.

I'm over in Poulsbo and need a 6.2. I'd like to come and hear it run and maybe take it away if I could.
