new problem..keeps dying

so at around 45 or so truck keeps dying.. at around 45 mph.. then i put to neutral and start and it wont start.. but as soon as i pull off and then start it.. it will fire right up.. whats goin on.. i am still having the problem where its cutting out at 55 and wont let me go past it.. my friends grandpa said i might need a vented distributor cap? i never heard such a thing?? its an accel distributor with a msd cap and rotor..

ya battery is good had alt tested few months ago its good.. new fuel pump like 3 weeks ago.. all filters are good. how do i check vapor lock? i know its gotta be fuel related..

I had the exact same problem ,happened to me when it reached 3rd gear.Would start to die out, then i'd pull over and start it up again. Reach 3rd,same problem
It ended up being the pink -(do not cut) wire from the ignition to the starter was burning out (getting thinner)
so i ran a 12 ga. in-line fuse wire from ign. unfused in the fuse panel directly to the distributor (bat.)and problem solved (for me). I was gettng plenty of gas and spark, but it seemed that when the truck called for more power, it would die.
Don't ask me why or how. An old hot rodder/farmer suggested it and it worked.
