Anyone make this patch panel?
I'm in need of a drivers side lower rear bed side patch panel. Everyone seems to carry them for long beds, but I can't find them for a short bed. If you know where I could buy one please let me know. Thanks!
If you have no clue what I'm talking about. I need number 9 in this link, but for a short bed. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=25 |

Re: Anyone make this patch panel?
If you're not able to find one for a shortbed you may have to order the one for the longbed and and section it to fit the shortbed. Many aftermarket panels need some surgery to fit properly the majority of time.

Thanks guys, I'm going to end up using part of a long bed panel.....cheaper then the $110 panel from classic parts.

Re: Anyone make this patch panel?
I ordered that panel from LMC to repair my bed. The body lines weren't even close, especially the area beneath the taillight. I ended up fabbing up my own patch rather than using theirs. I haven't tried any of the other vendors lower bed patch, so I can't speak to their quality. Just warning you.

Resurrecting an old post. Did you end up finding the right patch panel. I see that it is available for a long bed, but I also need one for a short bed to repair damage to my blazer.

Re: Anyone make this patch panel?
I have the same issue, and found one listed in Tabco catalog. I called them today to order because the online ordering didn't work. Good thing, because they don't have any. They have the dies, but don't have any stamped. The interesting thing is Tabco makes them, and I questioned him about it and he said they have the correct indentation under the taillight and the beaded portion on the wheel well opening. A lot of the imported ones don't, cant say for sure on the ones mentioned above, but I bought a front lower from Ecklers and it did not. I ordered the longbed ones and will cut them as needed. I hope. Just something to be aware of.
