Look what I just picked up!

I Just bought a 72truck for parts,It Has a Chevrolet crate motor in it,4 speed manual transmission(any one know what model it is)how much do they sell for?

If you have a truck 4 speed, it's probably an SM465. If a car 4 speed, it's anyone's guess until we can see a pic.

the 672 big block is about 10 grand, the tremec is about 4 grand. LOL

seriously, on average a crate is about 2 grand an sm465 is about 100 bucks

Not really into the whole bagged, squished,chopped, drooped,cut, bent,lifted,twisted,split,decked,massaged,tubbed,jacked trend. (o.k. slightly lowered is fine)
For the love of god, just drive it before you forget what the truck is supposed to look like !....LOL

More!will be tearing down this weekend! Motor is a GM crate motor rumored to have been sitting for ten years, once I put the distributr cap back on and hot wired the cap I had spark and compression.will try to start it Saturday! hpe to get #then. any one know a site to see what I have for motor in it?

I would love to get it to run for a bit justso I can put it in 4 low and first to hook to a tree just to feel the power as it digs inn!Depending on what motor it is and how it runs it might go in the K-5 to replace the 307 in there now! the 307 runs so good I almost hate to disturb it! The Axles will be rebuilt and put in the Banana.I believe the rear is a 12 bolt! It is about time I found a deal that went in my favor!Will post more pictures later when I get home!
