Tranny problem?

I was driving to work this morning. I just installed a junk yard 700r4 into my 87 r10. When shifting into 4th gear in the morning, it will sometimes act like it goes into neutral, then when I let off the gas it kinda clunks into gear? Whats that all about? I'm assuming Ii'm screwed.

Re: Tranny problem?

thats your transmission slipping... check your fluid levels with it running. it could be as simple as that, but usually when it starts slipping it means its on its way out..

OK, i'll check that, it sits on a hill all night, and it seems to only do it in the morning on my short drive to work. Hopefully thats all it is.
