dont mean to steal this pic, but i found it in a thread talking about stepsides and this is exactly what i want to do with mine with the late model box and matching the round wheel wells front and back. just curious if this was hand built or a kit that they found. and how they went about the work.

thanks!

KYLE.. I BOUGHT AN 89 SHORT STEP NEW. YOU DO REALIZE THAT THOSE BEDSIDES ARE ONE PIECE (INCLUDING THE FENDERS) FIBERGLASS OR SOME SORT OF PLASTIC?. I OWNED THAT TRUCK FOR A MONTH BEFORE I REALIZED THEY WEREN'T STEEL. JOHN

I don't know of any "kits" to do the conversion, but glad whoever did that truck did. The newer bed looks more correct on it now.

I'll be watching this one to see if we ever find out.

Really you want to add a 80-90's stepside?

Re: anyone know this truck??

I had thought that picture was a photoshop?

I guess the easiest way would be to buy a bed and a set of fiberglass 67-72 step fenders, but that could get expensive to just cut 'em up for the wheel arches.

Re: anyone know this truck??

i love the look, i love the old blended with new. i think the lines are very well adapted the only thing i dont like on the above pictured truck is the molding. shave that and i think its pretty darn slick!!

dont get me wrong, the absolute best look for these trucks is the shortbed fleetside. a hands down crowd (and personal) favorite. but im looking to make this more then just another restored/rodded shortbed. hense the new bed, new ls drivetrain, and other updated details later to be..... detailed haha.
