im making custom round headlight buckets out of 46 merc lights and with the ss logo in the middle and roll pan it should resemble a 69 camaro front end the grill is set back 4" and yes the middle was bent. but i like the camaro look its just not finished yet.

Re: 67 project truck

yea she will have to have tubbs I think this ls package is going to be so much better than the big block set up. not as much hp but reliable and the overdrive should help the 4.10s out although the minni spool will probably still make it a hand full on corners.

Re: 67 project truck

What fuel system are you using? And are those the camero headers?

Re: 67 project truck

it has a camaro gas tank with a truck pump installed using a feed and return system would have been easier if i would have use the camaro pump and a corvette regulator with a single feed but i would have had to change the fuel rails, eather way its about the same price i thought this way would be cheaper but buy the time you buy all the brass fittings and gm quickconnects im sure the other way would have been less of a head ache. yes they are camaro headers. I had to move the engine back 2.5 in to clear the a arm witch required the firewall mods i could have modded the headers but i figured it would handle better and have better wt transfer if i just scotted it back be aware the pass side bell housing has an ear behind the starter that has to be removed or they will not bolt on also the collectors are close to the fram and require some notching believe it or not it was worse on the pass side than the driver. looking at them you would think it is oppisit of that you can jack the tranny up some and put them between the rails but on a lowered truck you run into issue of drive shaft hitting t arm x member. i think im going to have to get the ece x member for more clearance caus im at an 8 deg tilt back now and i would like it to be 4 deg thats where its suppost to be that requires me to rais the tail shaft about 1 1/2 in. it will give me better header clearance but the shaft will be to close for comfort

Re: 67 project truck

help for others. i bought the gm ends from salvage yard 5 buck each and used a cut off wheel to remove the crimp and leave the barb, the hose they are made of is plastic and will not clamp you can get some of the metal tube and double flare them to hook up with brass but efi hose from napa with efi clamps is alot easier to put where you want it.

you should be able to score a camaro tank and pump for 75-100 bucks from a salvage yard the bottom side of the frame will need some trimming and a 1.5 in hole saw to run your fill up through the frame but it fits like a glove and in my .02 has better clearance than a blazer tank.

my headers were 250.00 from excream preformance in kilgor tx. these were the first and are a camaro set he has since changed them to help clear our frames you should be able to find him on ebay. they remove the emission tubes and polish the spots out. Im very happy with mine considering they were 1/3 price of most.

I used 73-87 motor stands and mounts with clam shells and a pice of 3/16 plate to make my mounts. you can over lap some of the holes and weld them up. ls is 4 blots clams have 3
