Trim removal tricks
It's been many years since I've done it, so can't remember how to remove the horizontal trim below the cab rear window.
And while I'm at it, same goes for the upper and lower trim pieces on a fleetside tailgate.

Re: Trim removal tricks
The cab trim is joined by a piece in the middle which needs to slide one side or the other. I think the hold downs are plastic and will need to slide to unlock. Something thin behind the trim should let you find the edges of the clip and the stud. Slide the edge farthest away from the stud toward the stud. My disclaimer is you might scratch the paint or break 40 year old plastic.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong please. |
